This space is still growing, still unfolding - and I think that’s part of what makes it meaningful.

I’m Maya, the maker behind Crochet by Maya - a mum, a creator, and someone who has always been drawn to the soft, quiet beauty of simple things.

What began as a simple love for crochet has slowly become something more. Not just something to make, but something to share - a way to create gentle, story-inspired pieces that feel comforting, nostalgic, and quietly meaningful.

But the heart behind it goes deeper than that.

My journey with crochet actually began when I was little, living with my grandparents on a farm in Brazil. Life there was slow and simple, and it was my grandmother who first showed me how to crochet — just small stitches, nothing complicated, but something that stayed with me long after.

Years later, during a season of faith and growth, I found my way back to it.

In quiet moments - between learning, serving, and growing - I picked up a crochet hook again. And through stitching, prayer, and stillness, it became something grounding… something peaceful.

Over time, I began to realise this could become more than just a hobby.

Not just something to create, but something to give. Little pieces that could gently encourage, comfort, and carry meaning.

That’s where Little Stories of Faith began.
