Working the Stitch:

Yarn over

Insert hook into the stitch

Pull up a long loop

Repeat 4 times in same stitch until you have 9 loops in your hook

Yarn over and pull through all loop

Chain 1 (some people skip this step)

What is it used for?

Puff stitches create soft textured shapes with a cosy and fluffy appearance.

Sometimes the amount of loops on your hook might be specific to the pattern you are following - make sure to read your pattern carefully.
