Working the Stitch:

Yarn over (if needed)

Insert hook from the back of the next stitch

Insert hook from the front of the next stitch

Pull up a loop through both stitches

Complete stitch as normal

What is it used for?

Bps stitches create raised texture that is often used to change direction and form a cylinder. It is often used for shaping legs / hoofs in amigurumi.

Tip:

You work around the stitch pole itself, not into the top loops.
